On June 24, 2016, in Springfield, MO, the U.S. Department of the Interior will issue the $25 Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation stamp for the 2016–2017 waterfowl hunting season.

The stamp will go on sale nationwide June 24, 2016, and is valid through June 30, 2017.

The Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation stamp will be available in the following formats:

  • Water-activated gum (WAG) Pane of 20 (Item 335400).
  • Pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) Pane of 1 (Item 335500).

The 2016–2017 Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation stamp, produced in the water-activated gum format, will only be distributed to Stamp Fulfillment Services in Kansas City, MO, and by consignment via Amplex Corporation.

Stamp Fulfillment Services will not make an automatic distribution to Post Offices™. To allow Postmasters to order the 2016–2017 Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation stamp in quantities approximating customer demand, there is no minimum ordering quantity. Postmasters should review their previous year’s sales records to determine the appropriate number of 2016–2017 Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation stamps to requisition. Postmasters should requisition sufficient quantities of Item 335500 to meet the expected demand for this item by stamp collectors, conservationists, and hunters. Post Offices may preorder these stamps prior to first-day-of-issue through SFS Web. Post Offices should not sell the stamp prior to the first-day-of-issue.

Items with an asterisk (*) will use the 128 barcode from Stamp Fulfillment Services. All other philatelic products will continue to use barcode series A, with the exception of the Yearbook and the Guide Book.
